We perform due diligence on all suppliers and contractors before engaging in any business relationship. This includes:
Evaluating their policies, practices, and commitments to combat modern slavery.
Conducting risk assessments in relation to geographic regions or industries where modern slavery risks may be higher.
Including anti-slavery provisions in contracts with suppliers and business partners.
4.2. Employee Awareness and Training
We ensure all employees are aware of the risks of modern slavery and how to identify and report concerns. We provide:
Regular training on recognizing signs of modern slavery and human trafficking.
Information on how to report concerns or violations of this policy through the appropriate channels.
4.3. Monitoring and Compliance
We conduct ongoing monitoring of our business operations and supply chains to ensure compliance with this policy. This includes:
Audits of suppliers and partners where necessary.
Engaging third-party auditors to evaluate supply chains where high-risk areas are identified.
Ensuring corrective actions are taken if any violations are discovered.
5. REPORTING AND WHISTLEBLOWING
Schimper Energy encourages employees, suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to report any concerns or suspicions related to modern slavery.
6. COMPLIANCE AND ACTION
Failure to comply with this policy will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contract. Schimper Energy reserves the right to terminate any business relationships with suppliers or partners who are found to be involved in modern slavery or human trafficking.
